Day 3 in Saskatchewan.

Woke up to sunshine and great weather in Dryden. Thanks to the time change it was easy to be up and out the door for a quick run before breakfast. Then it was on the road towards Kenora and Lake of the Woods Ontario. Driving through Kenora was nice and it kind of reminded me of Mahone Bay, NS except it appears people are much more affluent in Kenora. Hit the Tim Hortons for a dark roast and some joker tried to but in the drive thru lane

There was a deer munching on the grass next to the drive thru window? Obviously not hunting season.

As you can tell I am writing this from Moosomin, SK. I drove thru Manitoba where it rained my entire drive. Also saw another truck accident.
Must have hit the on ramp too fast. That is the third truck accident I have seen so far this trip. Stopped and checked things out ( it's an old guy thing) and the driver was fine. Lots of diesel on the road. So I kept on moving until I hit lovely Saskatchewan. Of course there is a time change but I forgot about it and thought it was almost 4 pm and time to stop for the day. Ha! Not so fast it was only 3pm. Damn rookie traveller mistake 🙄🙄

Oh well. I am ahead of schedule and plan on making a side trip to the Big Muddy and climb Castle Butte (site of the keys in the deep crevice incident of 2011 which aborted our climb that day).

  4. lol at "old guy thing". Next thing you know you'll be complaining about those whippersnappers and their skateboards and rap music. It is a slippery slope Dad, try and control yourself.
