The long road home

The return trip is more of a trip down memory lane. Starting with a drive up the Alaska Highway to Watson Lake, Yukon. As of today June 28th I am thinking the return route will be heading directly to Fort Liard, NWT. It is a bit more adventurous since it is has few services and is all gravel for 500km at least. There has been lots of flooding in the Dawson Creek area of BC and I am not bringing my boat so I would like to avoid that section if possible.
Lots of places to see on the way back. Sign Post Forest in Watson Lake, the Coastal Mountain Range and Glaciers of BC and Alaska, crossing the continental divide twice and Mount Robson, the Ice fields Parkway between Jasper and Banff etc.

Who can resist stopping for the UFO on Hwy 11at Moonbeam, ON and then a night of camping in the Haliburton Forest before heading home. Hopefully I will be able to fill this blog with lots of pictures and stories reminiscent of our last trip in 2011. Stay tuned.
